Kate has always had a keen interest in the relationship between food and health so becoming a dietitian was a natural career path. On gaining her degree in Dietetics at Leeds Polytechnic, she then took teacher-training and went on to teach nutrition in the UK and in Sierra Leone, in Africa.
Kate has had over ten years working in health promotion involved in running programmes in the community, NHS and local workplaces promoting healthier lifestyle choices such as better eating, exercising more, stopping smoking, and managing stress. She has worked as a community dietitian for the past five years with special interest and experience in weight management, diabetes and health promotion. Due to increasing interest in her services, Kate was invited to start her dietetic practice at the Esporta Health and Fitness Club in Wolverhampton, launching Eat Fit Therapy in October 2006.
